Bradley B. Bailey, MD, FAAEM is a Hyperbaric and Emergency Physician in the San Diego Area.  He received his BS and MD degrees from the University of Nevada, Reno.  He then completed his internship and residency in Emergency Medicine at Maricopa Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona.  Dr. Bailey practiced Emergency Medicine for 6 years in Northern Nevada and San Diego, and Hyperbaric Medicine for a year and a half before entering sub-specialty fellowship training in Diving and Hyperbaric Medicine at the University of California, San Diego.  He currently works exclusively in Hyperbaric Medicine and wound care medicine, and is currently on staff at various hospitals throughout Southern California.
Ron Bangasser, MD, FAAFP  is a board-certified family physician and Director of External Affairs for the Beaver Medical Group in Redlands. He is also the Medical Director of the Wound Care Department at Redlands Community Hospital. In March 2003, he was elected President of the California Medical Association. From 2001-2002, he was Speaker of the California Medical Association House of Delegates, CMA’s policy-making body. Previously, he served as Chair of the CMA Committee on Managed Care, Vice Chair of the CMA Hospital Medical Staff Section Executive Board, and President and Board Chair of the California Foundation for Medical Care. He currently is a member of the California Delegation to the AMA and in June 2001, he was elected to AMA’s Council on Medical Service.  He is the current President of the  Pacific Chapter of the UHMS.
Susan Bangasser, Ph.D received her doctoral degree in Biochemistry from the University of Illinois in Chicago.    Currently Dr. Bangasser is a chemistry professor at San Bernardino Valley College.  She has been an active NAUI scuba instructor for thirty years.  She has written numerous articles and given many presentations on the topic of women and diving.  Dr. Bangasser co-authored the book Women Underwater, published in 1979, the first book on women and diving.  In 2000 Dr. Bangasser was inducted into the Women Divers Hall of Fame.  

Matthew S. Berry, MD, FACP, FAAEP has lectured internationally on various aspects of underwater medicine.  After receiving his M.D. from Tufts Medical School in 1986, he completed his post-graduate training at LAC-USC Medical Center and Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. Dr. Berry is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Emergency Medicine. He practices medicine at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center, West Los Angeles and is on the faculty at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center.  He is the Kaiser Permanente Resource Physician for Underwater Hyperbaric Medicine, an Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at UCLA and is on the Board of Governors of the American Academy of Emergency Physicians.  Dr. Berry is also a NAUI Dive Instructor, an avid underwater photographer and has won international photographic competitions.  He is the current treasurer and a past President (2001) of the Pacific Chapter UHMS.

Dick Clarke, CHT is program director of the hyperbaric medicine program at Palmetto Richland Memorial Hospital in Columbia, S.C.  He is president of National Baromedical Services (NBS), and has consulted with DAN and in helped to establish in 1996 the Diving Preferred Provider Network, a network of hyperbaric chambers dedicated to high-quality care.  Mr. Clarke serves as editor of the "Hyperbaric Medicine Update" newsletter from NBS.  Among Mr. Clarke's many other professional duties include being a faculty member of both the NOAA/UHMS Diving Medical Officer's Course and director of the busiest diving and clinical hyperbaric medicine training program in North America.  He is the recipient of the 2002 DAN America award.  

Joel Dovenbarger is the Vice President, Medical Services, Divers Alert Network.  dAMong his many credits, he is the Coordinator of the Caribbean Chamber Assistance Program, the Editor of the Annual Report on Diving Accidents and Fatalities from 1987-1994, supervises the DAN medical information line, is responsible for collecting data on all scuba fatalities and has written numerous articles on scuba diving safety.

Neil Hampson, MD has served as Medical Director of the Virginia Mason Hyperbaric Department since 1989.  Dr. Hampson was educated in hyperbaric medicine during his Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine fellowship at Duke University, site of the largest civilian hyperbaric treatment facility in the United States. Dr. Hampson subsequently received advanced training in diving accident management from NOAA.  He is the immediate past  President of the Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society (UHMS) and the former  Chairman of the UHMS Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy Committee.  Dr. Hampson is an internationally recognized authority in the area of carbon monoxide poisoning.
David Harrison, MD, CCFP (EM), FRCPC is board certified in Family Medicine and Emergency Medicine. He has been an attending physician in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Vancouver General Hospital since 1990 and was Director of the Emergency Medicine Residency at the University of British Columbia from 1993 to 1998.  Dr Harrison is currently a Clinical Associate Professor at UBC and Medical Director of the Vancouver General Hospital Hyperbaric Unit. He is also an avid scuba diver and underwater photographer.
Lorre Henderson, OD, MD, FACS completed Optometry School at the University of Houston in 1976.  He received his M.D. from the University of Texas Medical School at Houston in 1981, followed by a five-year residency in Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery at Hermann Hospital and M.D. Anderson Tumor Institute in Houston.  Dr. Henderson has been in otolaryngology private practice since 1986 and practicing HBO since 1995 in the San Francisco bay area.
Jim Holm, MD,  FACEP is the Medical Director of the Hyperbaric Medicine Department at Memorial Hospital, Colorado Springs, Colorado.  He received his medical degree from Georgetown University in 1985, and completed his residency in Emergency Medicine and Internal Medicine at Northwestern University in 1989, where he also served as Chief Resident.  Dr. Holm is bBoard certified in Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine and Hyperbaric Medicine.  He has been on the faculty for the Divers Alert Network's Diving Medicine Courses since 2003.  Additionally Dr. Holm is both a NAUI and PADI Diving Instructor and the President-Elect of the UHMS Pacific Chapter.
Michael Lewpasky, MD is the Director of Hyperbaric Medicine at Vancouver Hospital & Health Sciences Center.  He has numerous publications on various aspects of Hyperbaric Medicine and is a frequent international lecturer.  He is a past President and Executive Director of the UHMS-Pacific Chapter. 
Tom Millington, MD has been the Director of St. John's Pleasant Valley Hospital Wound Treatment and Hyperbaric Department for the past 11 years.  He is certified by AAFP and UHMS.  He is also on the faculty of the College of Oceaneering and Santa Barbara City College,  where he teaches diving medicine and hyperbaric medicine for their tech programs.  He has been a scuba diver for the past 25 years for recreation and underwater photography.
Gerit Mulder, DPM, MS is director of the Wound Treatment and Research Center at the University of California, San Diego Medical Center.  He is a full time faculty member in the Department of Surgery, Division of Trauma/Burn and an associate Professor of Surgery and Orthopedics.  Doctor Mulder has been involved in research, education and clinical treatment related to tissue repair and chronic wounds for over 20 years.  He is an internationally recognized speaker, clinician, and researcher and he has published extensively in numerous medical journals and books.  Currently Dr. Mulder is on the editorial board of "Wounds" and "Advances in Wound Care".  He is extensively involved in national and international education related to wound treatment.  
Ralph Potkin MD is the medical director of the Beverly Hills Center for Hyperbaric Medicine.  Dr. Potkin is a highly respected physician in the medical community with over twenty years of experience in internal medicine, critical care, pulmonary diseases and hyperbaric medicine. Dr. Potkin was clinical chief of pulmonary and critical care medicine at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles until 1999. Dr. Potkin is board certified in internal medicine, pulmonary diseases and critical care medicine. He is certified by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Association in hyperbaric medicine and is a member of the College of Hyperbaric Medicine. He has been involved in hyperbaric medicine since 1981, directing patient care and clinical research.
Marty Snyderman is an internationally renowned still photographer, film producer, author and speaker specializing in the marine environment.  Marty has been involved in underwater photography for 25 years and continues to produce compelling images of marine life in attempts to raise awareness and interest about many marine issues. An Emmy Award winning cinematographer, his film, The Secret World of Sharks and Rays, a documentary about the natural history of sharks, premiered during October of 1998 on the PBS series NATURE. Marty produced and filmed To Be With Sharks (View From The Cage) which premiered on the Discovery Channel in July 1994 during Shark Week. A big ratings success, it is the second most widely watched premier in the history of Shark Week. In addition, Marty's cinematography has been used by Warner Brothers (Free Willy released in the summer of 1993), the National Geographic Society, NOVA, the British Broadcasting Corporation, many major broadcast networks and many more organizations expressing interest in marine wildlife.
Michael Strauss, MD, FACS is Director of the Baromedical Department, Long Beach Memorial Medical Center.  He is an internationally recognized expert on wound healing.  He is the recipient of the 2003 Carolyn Sue Ray Memorial Award in recognition of excellence in hyperbaric medicine, original research and it's impact on patient care.
Robert Warriner, III, MD, FACA, FCCP is the Chief Medical Officer for Praxis Clinical Services and Emeritus Medical Director of the Southeast Texas Center for Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine at Conroe Regional Medical Center Hospital.   Dr. Warriner is board certified in Anesthesiology and Hyperbaric Medicine.  He is a fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians, the American College of Hyperbaric Medicine, is a Certified Wound Care Specialist and a member of numerous professional societies.  Dr. Warriner is also certified as a diving medical officer by NOAA and the Diving Medical Society of the United Kingdom.  He is the author of a number of scientific publications and a frequent regional, national and international lecturer in topics related to Hyperbaric Medicine, Wound Management and continuous quality improvement.
Lindell Weaver, MD, FACP is the medical director of the Hyperbaric Unit at LDS hospital in Salt Lake City, a position he has held since 1987.  He is the southwest regional coordinator for DAN, and is the current President of the Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society (UHMS).  He is is the recipient of the 2003 Paul Bert award in recognition of continued diligence and excellence in the practice of hyperbaric medicine and basic research.

 

Tom Workman, MS, CAsP, CHT is the director, Quality Assurance & Regulatory Affairs for the UHMS and is responsible for the development and management of the Clinical Hyperbaric Facility Accreditation Program.  He retired from the USAF as a Colonel after 23 years of service devoted to aerospace and hyperbaric physiology.  Mr. Workman is currently the Chairman of the National Fire Protection Association's Technical Committee for Hyperbaric and Hypobaric Facilities and Chairman of the Medical Systems Subcommittee of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers Pressure Vessel for Human Occupancy Technical Committee and a board member of the NBDHMT.  He received the Craig Hoffman Memorial Award for his contributions to diving safety, has more than 130 publications and presentation , including editorship of Hyperbaric Facility Safety: A Practical Guide.  He is board certified by the Aerospace Medical Association in Aerospace Physiology and by the NBDHMT.
