2009 Conference Information

The Pacific Chapter of the Undersea & Hyperbaric Medical Society (UHMS) will hold it's Annual Scientific Conference on Friday, October 9, 2009 & Saturday, October 10, 2009 in Seattle, Washington

Friday, October 9^th will be a combination of new research presentations and reviews in both diving and

clinical hyperbaric medicine. Topics will be of interest to all types of professionals in the hyperbaric field.

Saturday, October 10^th will be "Diver Day" Seminar. These presentations will be of interest to medical

& hyperbaric professionals, as well as recreational, commercial & scientific divers.

Additionally, there will be an underwater photography contest as part of Diver Day.

The conference site is Virginia Mason Medical Center, Seattle, WA

The Conference site is at the Virginia Mason Medical Center, Lindeman Pavilion in the Volney Richmond Auditorium. The address is 1201 Terry Ave, Seattle, WA 98101.(Northwest corner of Seneca and Terry). The Volney Richmond Auditorium is on the Basement floor of the Lindeman Pavilion. Download Map

      The conference Hotel is Marriott Renaissance Hotel, Seattle, WA

515 Madison Madison Street, Seattle, WA 98104. This is a 3 block walk to the conference site.

A limited number of rooms has been contracted for conference attendees with the Marriott Renaissance Hotel for a special rate of $159 per night. The special rate includes free use of the club lounge for complimentary breakfast and afternoon appetizers. Free internet is also included in the room charge. The rate is available until Monday, September 14, 2009. After this date, rooms will be available on a space available basis. To obtain the special room rate, you must identify yourself as attending the Undersea & Hyperbaric Medical Society (UHMS) Meeting. The Group Code is UHMUHMA. The rate will be honored on a space available basis 3 days before and 3 days after the conference. The rate is subject to applicable state and local taxes (currently 15.6) in effect at the time of check in. All reservations must be accompanied by a first night room deposit.
