          2008 Conference Information

 The Pacific Chapter of the Undersea & Hyperbaric Medical Society (UHMS) will hold it's Annual Scientific Conference on Friday, September 12, 2008 & Saturday, September 13, 2008 in Palm Springs, California

Friday, September 12th will be a combination of new research presentations and reviews in both diving and
clinical hyperbaric medicine. Topics will be of interest to all types of professionals in the hyperbaric field.

Saturday, September 13th will be "Diver Day" Seminar. These presentations will be of interest to medical

& hyperbaric professionals, as well as recreational, commercial & scientific divers.

 The conference site will be the Wyndham Hotel, Palm Springs, CA

A special room rate of $129 per night has been contracted with the Wyndham Hotel for conference attendees.  The rate is available until Friday, September 5, 2008.  After this date, rooms will be available on a space available basis.  To  obtain the special room rate, you must identify yourself as attending the Undersea & Hyperbaric Medical Society (UHMS) Meeting.  The rate will be honored on a space available basis 3 days before and after the conference.  Please call the hotel directly at 760-460-2916 if you wish to extend your stay. 

A Pre-course will be held on Thursday evening, Sept. 11 (1430 - 2000): Care of hyperbaric Chamber Acrylic, presented by International ATMO. Fee - $125
CHT/CHRN review class on Sept. 11 (1200 - 1400): International ATMO. No charge
CHT/CHRN exam on Sept. 11 (1500 - 1700) - Contact the NDBHMT for exam information

 Post-course on Sept. 14 (0800 - 1700): Preparing for UHMS Accreditation Survey - Tom Workman - Fee $150

Post-course on Sept. 14 (0800 - 1200): Fire Safety in the hyperbaric environment - OxyHeal - Fee: $75
     

Participants may obtain CME/CEU credit through the UHMS, the BNA or the NDBHMT.
